Fall Carnival

Yesterday night, we had a fall carnival for our school. There were lots of booths and fun things. My dad was doing a caricature booth and I got to help out withe fishing booth. When they were calling out the raffle basket winners, I was telling my friends that i wasn't going to get anything. Then they called my name for the first grade basket! It was for a playroom and had shelves and storage boxes, and toys and books and everything! I ran to tell my dad and then my friend Kathryn came running up and told me I had won the sixth grade basket as well. I didn't believe her at first, so I went to check with the principal. Sure enough, I won both of the baskets. The sixth grade basket was Christmas presents for the whole family. I guess I inherited my Papaw's luck. If there's a drawing, he wins it. He went to check the mail one time and he found $50 on the street! We stayed up until 11:00 pm loading and unloading the stuff. It was crazy! I guess I'm just lucky!
