Well, I'm in 8th grade now. The oldest grade in my school. I don't want to be this old. It feels like all the big kids are missing from the school, but we are the big kids! I have 5 teachers. One of the teachers that I knew I would have this year I thought I would hate. Turns out he's really funny. But he gives out lots of homework. We're learning lots in orchestra. We learned how to play the Pink Panther theme song in 5 days! Now we're learning how to play Brandenburg Concerto 3rd. I don't remember what it was called. We're also going to learn this song called Rosin Eating Zombies From Outer Space. The 8th graders have played this song for Halloween for the past few years, and we're all excited. We all love our orchestra teacher. She's so funny and she is literally the best teacher in the whole state! We're doing our mystery section in English Language Arts. We're doing Poe stories this week and next. After that we're doing Sherlock Holmes. I'm a big Holmes fan. I've read almost all of the books about him.
sounds like a fun school year. I remember my 7th grade English teacher . . . the first day he was REALLY mean to us, and told us everything he would do if we misbehaved. I nearly cried. Turns out he always acted that way on the first day, and after that he was TERRIFIC! The best teacher I've ever had. And I had him again in the 9th grade. Lucky me.
